RE: Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
TO OUR DEDICATED SUPPORTERS
March 13, 2020
The health and safety of our community is of the utmost importance to the Shriners Variety Show. Effective March 12, 2020, The Provincial Health Officer issued a statement directing all events be cancelled of gatherings larger than 250 people. This threshold has been selected, as it is much easier to maintain important social distancing to prevent transmission of COVID-19.
In accordance with this, we have opted to reschedule our upcoming Variety Shows and will be providing alternate dates for shows. Please click to view our updated show dates for all changes. If you have already donated to the show, the funds will still be placed with the Shriners to continue their amazing efforts, and donated tickets will be passed out to organizations in the community as per usual, so that they may attend at the rescheduled date. If you have purchased tickets to attend, all tickets will be honored at an upcoming show. We thank you for your patience and consideration as we deal with this ever-evolving situation. If you have further questions or would like clarification on any matters, please contact us directly at 250-384-4427.
Thank you for your continued support,

About the BC Shriners Variety Show
How We Make Magic Happen
Each year we present entirely new shows for families and friends to enjoy! From chainsaws, ventriloquism, and some truly head-scratching disappearing acts, the show is guaranteed to leave you full of excitement, wonder, and the knowledge that you helped make real magic happen for those who need it the most!
The Shriners Variety Show Helps Make Magic Happen
For children in BC and Yukon requiring medical attention for any orthopedic or other pediatric specialty condition, the Shriners provide transportation, accommodation, all associated medical treatment, and follow up. These are provided at Shriners Hospitals for Children.
Depending on a child’s diagnosis, care could be provided at any one of the Shriners Hospitals. However, the majority of children in BC and Yukon are treated at Shriners Children’s Hospitals in Montreal, Portland, and Spokane.
A physician’s referral is not necessary, however each case is reviewed by a Shriners Hospital doctor to determine the best course of treatment. All appointments are prioritized on the basis of medical need. Wait times for appointments are relatively short.
